Toxoplasmosis, a disease of cats and other mammalian species, is caused by a parasitic protozoan, Toxoplasma gondii. مقوسات ، وهو مرض من القطط والثدييات والانواع الاخرى ، هو الذي تسببه طفيليه بروتوزوي ، toxoplasma gondii. Protozoa are single-celled organisms that are among the simplest creatures in the animal kingdom. البروتوزوا واحدا ذو خلايا الكائنات الحيه التي تعد من بين ابسط المخلوقات الحيوانيه في المملكه. Although infection with Toxoplasma is fairly common, actual disease caused by the parasite is relatively rare. ورغم ان الاصابة مع toxoplasma امر شائع الى حد كبير ، فعلى من الأمراض التي يسببها طفيلي الأمر نادر نسبيا. Diagnosis usually involves a routine blood test. التشخيص عادة ما ينطوي اختبار الدم الروتيني. Your veterinarian could also examine a stool sample, although this would only offer a diagnosis if the cat was shedding oocysts at the time. حسابك البيطري ويمكن ايضا فحص البراز عينه ، على الرغم من أن هذا لن يؤدي الا الى تقديم التشخيص اذا كانت القطه ذرف oocysts في ذلك الوقت. The two drugs that are most often used—pyrimethamine and sulfadiazine—act together to inhibit Toxoplasma reproduction. هما الادوية التي لا تستخدم في اغلب الاحيان - pyrimethamine وsulfadiazine - ان نعمل معا لكبح toxoplasma الاستنساخ. Treatment must be started as soon as possible after diagnosis and continued for several days after signs have disappeared. العلاج يجب أن يكون بدأ في اقرب وقت ممكن بعد تشخيص واستمرت لعدة ايام بعد دلائل قد اختفت.
