The World’s Ugliest Cat

News organizations and website chatter has declared one cat in New Hampshire as the world ugliest cat. The cats name is Ugly Bat Boy. People call him “Ugly” or “Uggs” for short. This ugly cat lives in a veterinarian’s office, Exeter Animal Hospital where he receives affection from the staff and amuses the clients.

Ugly Bat Boy attracts a lot of attention from clients and some people visit the veterinarian’s office for the sole purpose of seeing the world’s ugliest cat. Ugly Bat Boy seems to be skilled at attracting attention. There are YouTube videos featuring Ugly Bat Boy. Reportedly, the veterinarian has received at least one offer to appear on a television show. The staff members of the Exeter Animal Hospital often are asked a variety of common questions regarding Ugly Bat Boy. The cat is described as good-natured.

Ugly Bat Boy had a sister with similar characteristics, but she died as a kitten. The veterinarian who tried to save Ugly Bat Boy’s sister is the one who now owns this unique cat. Ugly Bat Boy was given to the veterinarian, because he liked the way the cat looks. Ugly Bat Boy is about eight years old.
The world ugliest cat has a hairless body except for long, scruffy hair on its chest and abdomen. The hairless face shows wrinkles on its forehead and under its almond-shaped eyes. Ugly Bat Boy has large ears and a hairless, thin tail. Ugly Bat Boy’s skin is a brownish color and is said to have a rubbery texture. The breed of Ugly Bat Boy is unknown. The unique characteristics are thought to be due to a genetic mutation or perhaps part Sphynx.

Some people believe the Sphynx cat breed are the world ugliest cats. Like Ugly Bat Boy, Sphynx cats are mostly hairless. When asked to picture a cat, most people would picture a hairy, medium-sized domestic cat. A hairless cat conflicts with the usual expectations of a cat so they are sometimes perceived at ugly. Some Sphynx cats have thin, sparse coats. The relatively thin, predominately hairless Sphynx cats have wrinkled skin and large ears. They have whip-like tails.
